Update 22:38 MDT
All sevices are back online through duplicate server. Thank you for your patience and co-operation.
--------------------------------------------------------
Update 22:30 MDT
Duplicate server is built, and your hard drives swapped into it.
It's booted successfully, passed a brief memory test, and we are now re-configuring the network interfaces. We will let you know as soon as it's racked up and in the datacenter.
--------------------------------------------------------
Update 21:50 MDT
After moving the system back into the datacenter, it now will not boot into Windows.
We'll be investigating while also building up a duplicate set of hardware for replacement.
--------------------------------------------------------
Update 21:20 MDT
I've reset some settings on this system's motherboard, and have just had a successful bootup in our lab.
I'm waiting for the VPS' to startup, and then I can login and cleanly shut down the system and re-rack it in our datacenter. ETA 15 minutes.
--------------------------------------------------------
Update 21:00 MDT
The server is unfortunately not booting properly after hardware swap. We are working on this with highest priority and will keep you updated here.
--------------------------------------------------------
Update 20:35 MDT
We'll shortly proceed with this maintenance.
--------------------------------------------------------
As noted in the subject line, the RAID subsystem in SOFTSRVHV10 is producing intermittent notices of drives and logical devices being removed and re-added.
In our examinations, the -appear- to be false alerts as all units and devices are rescannable. This however is highly unusual, so I would like to organize a maintenance window with the objective of replacement or update of the RAID interface and related drivers and firmware.
We're still working on it to see if this can be resolved/investigated without taking system down. However, if we do need to take the system down, we'll do this at 20:30-21:00 MDT tonight.
While the actual process will take only 5-10 minutes, starting/stopping of VM's can take some time and hence we will schedule a maintenance downtime of 40-50 minutes.
In order to find whether your VPS is affected, you can login to VPS Web Management Panel and check if your hosting space name is ending with 'HV10'. If not, your VPS will not be affected by this.
Thank you for your co-operation.
